Evan Rachel Wood wanted to return for Practical Magic 2, but Joey King inherited her role
Practical Magic 2 brings back Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing nearly three decades after the original. Evan Rachel Wood would have happily joined that reunion. The actress, who played Kylie Owens as a child in 1998, says she offered to return and was told the character was being recast with Joey King.
