Nocturne Puts Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham in the Same Trap

There is no mystery about who the monster is in Nocturne. Stephen Graham's Jurek Walter is right there, separated from his pursuers by prison glass. The tension in Apple TV's new trailer comes from a nastier question: how close will Liev Schreiber's Jonah Lynn and Zazie Beetz's Saga Bauer have to get before he gives them what they need?

Beyond Chandler: Netflix Unveils the Trailer for Its Matthew Perry Documentary

Telling Matthew Perry's story comes with an obvious problem: Chandler Bing is almost impossible to keep out of the frame. The trailer for Netflix's The One About Matthew Perry suggests the documentary will confront that problem directly, using the memories of the people closest to Perry to look past one of television's most recognizable characters.

Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ or HBO Max: On a Small Budget, the Best Choice Changes by Country

Choosing a streaming service on a tight budget once looked simple: compare four monthly prices. That no longer works in 2026. Netflix operates in more than 190 countries, Prime Video says it is available across more than 240 countries and territories, while HBO Max has expanded beyond 100 countries. Prices, catalogues and even the availability of ad-supported plans change from one market to another. For a small budget, the more useful question is which service manages to preserve its value across very different parts of the world.

Are K-Dramas More Profitable Than Netflix's Biggest Shows? The Market Tells a More Interesting Story

Netflix spends heavily in South Korea, yet the economics remain very different from endlessly producing US-scale prestige shows. Ampere Analysis estimates Korean content has accounted for roughly 8% to 9% of Netflix viewing since 2023. That efficiency helps explain the streamer's enthusiasm for Seoul. It is also creating a problem: the more successful the model becomes, the more Korean production costs rise.

Tulsa King Season 4: Dwight Wants to Go Legit, but the New Trailer Is Preparing Him for War

The Groseilles and Le Quesnoys Are Back: Netflix's Series Has Started Filming

The comeback is no longer merely a project. ELEPHANT Story has announced the start of production on La vie est un long fleuve tranquille, Netflix's series adaptation of the 1988 French comedy. The names remain, as does the baby-swap premise, but the Groseilles and Le Quesnoys will now wage their class war under the Arcachon sun.

Archer — Fourteen Seasons of Turning the World's Worst Coworkers Into Great Comedy

Behind Sterling Archer and his parody of an irredeemable superspy, Adam Reed's series built an extraordinarily precise ensemble comedy. Not every reinvention worked equally well, but its dialogue, characters and exceptional voice cast allowed it to outlive its own formula across fourteen seasons.

The Mentalist — Patrick Jane smiles so he does not have to stare into the void

Beneath its comforting cases and endless cups of tea, The Mentalist spends seven seasons building the portrait of a man whose charm is as useful for solving crimes as it is for concealing a self-destructive obsession. Simon Baker gives Patrick Jane irresistible lightness, Robin Tunney gradually turns Teresa Lisbon into his moral counterweight, and their relationship ultimately becomes more durable than the Red John mythology itself. The procedural formula repeats and the serial-killer arc is stretched far too long, but the series understands its characters better than it always controls its suspense.

The Traitors: New Blood reaches 6 million per episode, but NBC's headline only tells half the story

At first glance, the number is straightforward: roughly 6 million viewers for each of the first two episodes of The Traitors: New Blood. The route to that number is more revealing. Initial NBC audiences were considerably smaller, before repeats, delayed viewing and Peacock transformed the picture. The launch is therefore less a story about broadcast television suddenly roaring back than about NBCUniversal making one franchise move successfully between broadcast and streaming.

Widow's Bay — laugh at the monster until you realize it is already in the room

Katie Dippold turns a cursed New England island into a municipal comedy, a horror series and a drama about residents who cannot leave their past alone. Matthew Rhys excels as a mayor convinced that the irrational can somehow be managed, while Kate O’Flynn and Stephen Root keep Widow's Bay from becoming merely a vehicle for its star. Horror references occasionally overshadow the mythology and the final stretch loses some of the early comic balance, but this remains a remarkably distinctive first season.

S.W.A.T. Exiles launches on Starz, proving CBS did not get the final word on Hondo

Exiles is now streaming on Starz in the United States with Shemar Moore back as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson. The more interesting story sits behind the premiere: Sony developed and completed the spin-off without a US network attached, then sold it to Starz and a long list of international broadcasters and streamers.

Lanterns — its greatest power is still the friction between Hal Jordan and John Stewart

HBO brings Green Lantern back to Earth as a rural crime drama built around a veteran who does not want to hand over his place and a successor who refuses to be treated like a spare part. Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre give that relationship enough weight to carry a season deliberately short on spectacle. The shifting timelines and several overextended stretches, however, keep this superhero-detective hybrid from being quite as precise as it wants to be.

American Horror Story 13 Blends Murder House, Coven and Hotel — but Lady Gaga Is Sitting This One Out

American Horror Story: 13 is turning out to be more than an anniversary-season reunion. With its first three episodes now released, Ryan Murphy says the new installment was designed as a concentrated dose of the show's earlier DNA. Clarkson's Farm: Five Seasons In, the Fields Outlast the Formula

What began as an excellent one-joke premise has grown into one of streaming's most engaging rural chronicles. Clarkson's Farm remains funny because Jeremy Clarkson gets things wrong, but more importantly because Kaleb, Charlie, Lisa and the farm itself keep refusing to let him be right. Season five also exposes the limits of a show increasingly divided between agriculture, commercial expansion and the celebrity orbit of its owner.

The Gentlemen: two seasons of tweed, weed and gangsters, with plenty of style and just enough substance

Guy Ritchie has found a television format spacious enough to keep indulging his fascination with impeccably dressed British criminals. Theo James and Kaya Scodelario make an excellent central pair, Daniel Ings repeatedly steals episodes, and the machinery remains delightfully absurd. Across three seasons, Silo has expanded from a superb claustrophobic mystery into a much broader story about control, memory and the manufacture of truth. Spider-Noir: Nicolas Cage turns a noir pastiche into a strange little triumph

Spider-Noir could easily have been an expensive style exercise: trench coats, voice-over, wet streets and a superhero repackaged as a 1930s private eye.
