Wildwood finally shows its full scale as LAIKA returns after seven years with a forest at war
Seven years without a new LAIKA feature is long enough to make Wildwood feel like a relaunch. The final trailer suggests the opposite. The studio is still committed to puppets, physical environments and frame-by-frame animation; it has simply made the playground much larger. Instead of one haunted house or one small town, Wildwood asks stop-motion to support an entire hidden civilization on the edge of war.
