Call of Duty likes squads that remain loyal while everything around them collapses. Modern Warfare 4 starts by reversing that assumption. Price is no longer the captain everyone rallies around. He is the target.
Since the 2019 reboot, Captain Price has repeatedly argued that rules become negotiable when the threat is serious enough. Modern Warfare 4 finally appears interested in what happens when his partners stop accepting that logic. The new TGS trailer does not simply present him as a ruthless hero. It makes him a fugitive hunted by the people he used to command.
