CONTROL Resonant Passes One Million Sales as Remedy's Self-Publishing Strategy Faces Its Biggest Test

CONTROL Resonant's significance extends beyond the one million copies sold. By announcing the fastest-selling launch in its history on October 15, 2026, Remedy has reached an important commercial milestone in its transition toward self-publishing. After years of working with external publishers, the Finnish company is taking direct responsibility for a major release. The early result is encouraging, but the critical question remains: how much financial value will Remedy ultimately retain?

Control Resonant Review: A Beautifully Unhinged Manhattan and a More Human Nightmare

By Clarel

Control Resonant is a visually audacious sequel whose impossible Manhattan contains some of Remedy's finest environmental storytelling. Dylan's personal struggle gives the narrative an accessible emotional core, although that clarity comes at the expense of the original's deeper ambiguity. Conventional RPG rhythms and prolonged battles occasionally interrupt its carefully constructed atmosphere. An impressive, distinctive work whose images linger longer than its action.

PROS

Exceptional surreal art direction
Memorable environmental imagery throughout Manhattan
Dylan Faden provides a compelling emotional perspective

CONS

A more conventional narrative than the original
Open-world pacing occasionally weakens dramatic intensity
