Our review
Crimson Desert: Pywel has a thousand stories to tell, Kliff considerably fewer
Crimson Desert builds a continent more memorable than its hero. Pywel constantly encourages players to abandon the main road, which is both enormous praise for the open world and a problem for a story about rebuilding the Greymanes. Small encounters, landscapes and Abyssal strangeness often leave a stronger impression than the central plot. It is an excellent place to visit and a much less essential story to follow.
PROS
Pywel has a strong visual identity
Exploration produces many small stories and discoveries
Distinct regions and cultures
CONS
Main plot is far more conventional than the world
Kliff can feel less distinctive than Pywel itself
