Star Fox: Nintendo finally gives its squadron more personality, then sends them into exactly the same war
Star Fox 2026 does a great deal to transform the narrative sketch of 1997 into a coherent little space adventure. New cinematics, the James McCloud prologue and orchestral music give greater presence to a squadron that previously lived through a handful of memorable radio lines. The achievement carries a cruel irony: Nintendo finally develops these characters and then makes them fight the same war again. This remake should now become a starting point rather than another final destination.
