The romance apparently took its time

Curtis opened up about life with Aniston in a Sunday Times Magazine interview published September 12.

He says their connection began with a friendship that lasted for months before becoming romantic.

Aniston had already been following his work on Instagram, and mutual connections eventually helped bring them into the same orbit. Conversation came first.

Curtis also frames the timing as important. He says he had reached a point where he was no longer approaching relationships from the need to make someone fall in love with him.

“Partnership” is the word he keeps coming back to

Asked what the relationship feels like now, Curtis talks about joy, presence, calm and a genuine sense of partnership.

That language fits the professional world he inhabits. Curtis works as a transformational coach, author and hypnotherapist whose public material revolves heavily around self-reflection, subconscious patterns and emotional regulation.

Aniston appears to participate in some of those routines with him.

Curtis says the two meditate together and try to understand and soothe their own emotions rather than automatically placing that responsibility on their partner.

He recently gave an equally unglamorous answer when asked how they handle disagreements: a lot of talking and a lot of meditation.

It is not exactly the Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton school of celebrity romance.

The public noticed them before they started explaining themselves

Aniston and Curtis first became a major celebrity-news story in summer 2025 after they were seen together during a Mallorca trip.

Their relationship was subsequently confirmed, but they did not immediately turn it into a constant public performance.

Aniston made the relationship unmistakably official on social media later in 2025 with a birthday post for Curtis.

She then spoke about him in an ELLE interview, praising his personality and the work he does with people dealing with trauma and personal stagnation.

They have now started appearing together professionally too

On September 2, Aniston joined Curtis onstage at New York's 92nd Street Y for an event surrounding his book The Book of Possibility.

She was not simply a guest in the audience. Aniston helped lead the conversation as Curtis discussed the health problems that shaped his life and career.

In his twenties, Curtis experienced spinal cord lesions, partial paralysis and chronic nerve issues, experiences he has since made central to his account of how he entered the wellness field.

Their public relationship is therefore beginning to include work as well as date nights. He has supported Aniston's projects and LolaVie appearances; she is now visibly supporting his.

Celebrity romance inevitably produced a wedding before the couple did

Curtis has also spent the past few weeks talking about the stranger side of dating someone whose private life has generated headlines for decades.

He has seen stories claiming that he and Aniston were preparing to marry, including speculation about an elopement in Greece.

He has not confirmed any wedding plans.

What he has confirmed is that the attention took some adjustment. Curtis already had an audience through coaching and publishing, but he jokes that nobody had previously cared much about who he was dating.

Then he made the mistake of Googling himself

The transition was not painless.

Curtis admits that he searched his own name and encountered unflattering descriptions, invented headlines and hostile commentary. Some of it genuinely hurt his feelings.

Eventually he adopted a much simpler wellness practice: stop looking.

He says it took three or four months to truly follow his own rule not to check what the internet was saying about him every day.

Aniston has lived inside this machine for decades

That makes their difference in experience unusually visible.

Curtis is still learning that a dinner, vacation or photograph can become a relationship referendum within hours.

Aniston has spent much of her adult life inside that cycle. Her marriages to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, breakups and years of dating speculation were all treated as major public narratives.

Now Curtis gets to discover why becoming Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend is itself considered an occupation by a section of the celebrity press.

The actual relationship remains much quieter than the gossip

There is no confirmed engagement. There is no announced wedding. There is no dramatic revelation hidden inside Curtis' latest interview.

There is a couple that says friendship came first, that has now been together for more than a year and that increasingly appears comfortable supporting each other's work in public.

Curtis calls that a real partnership.

The tabloids may have preferred a Greek elopement. For now, they get meditation.
