S.W.A.T. Exiles launches on Starz, proving CBS did not get the final word on Hondo
CBS ended S.W.A.T. after eight seasons, but Sony Pictures Television never treated that decision as the death of the property. S.W.A.T. Exiles is now streaming on Starz in the United States with Shemar Moore back as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson. The more interesting story sits behind the premiere: Sony developed and completed the spin-off without a US network attached, then sold it to Starz and a long list of international broadcasters and streamers.
