Netflix just paid seven figures for Understudy — before the project even has a cast
Netflix has spent at least seven figures securing the ingredients for Understudy: a Nicholas Binge short story, its author as screenwriter, and Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Steven Yeun among the executive producers. What it has not bought yet is a finished television series.
