Microsoft still wants Xbox to be both publisher and platform as Nadella backs the ongoing reset
Microsoft is still refusing the idea that Xbox must choose between publishing games and owning the platform they run on. In a September 25 interview, Satya Nadella described both as core ambitions and said the company still needs the right sustainable business model to reach more players. That strategy is being pursued while Xbox remains in the middle of a very tangible restructuring.
