Harry Potter is a fantasy franchise originating in J.K. Rowling's novels and expanded across film, television, video games and stage productions around the Wizarding World and Hogwarts.
HBO is not waiting for Christmas to find out what Year 2 needs. Chamber of Secrets already has three of its most important additions, including the first significant young-character recast in the new Harry Potter series.
HBO no longer needs to introduce its new Harry, Ron and Hermione. The second teaser can move on to the harder sales pitch: showing why Philosopher's Stone needs an eight-episode television adaptation when its story is already familiar to millions of viewers.
