Dead by Daylight Has Become Horror's Great Playable Museum
Dead by Daylight has achieved something stranger than ordinary multiplayer longevity: it has become a shared language for horror culture. Its own mythology now sits beside characters from major film, television, manga and videogame franchises without being completely swallowed by them. Familiarity weakens the fear and the commercial machinery is impossible to miss, yet the Fog remains an unusually effective crossover space.
