The confirmation came during CD PROJEKT RED's post-earnings conference. Asked about projects currently being capitalized, Nielubowicz said two unannounced games remain in the development phase.
That accounting distinction narrows the statement. These are not simply concepts sitting in early research. At the same time, CD PROJEKT RED provided no names, team sizes or franchise assignments.
The multi-project model is already visible in headcount
The Witcher 4 had 519 developers assigned to it as of July 31. Cyberpunk 2 had reached 184.
More than 700 developers are therefore attached to those two games alone, with other teams distributed across additional projects and partnerships.
This is the structural shift CD PROJEKT RED has been building toward for years. Instead of completing one flagship RPG before allowing the next to scale, Witcher and Cyberpunk production now overlap substantially.
The Witcher already fills the next three years
The public release schedule demonstrates how much material the company is preparing around its older franchise. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is due September 29, 2026. Songs of the Past follows in 2027, while The Witcher 4 is targeting 2028.
Songs of the Past itself previously occupied one of CD PROJEKT RED's unnamed development slots before its reveal. That history is a useful warning against treating the latest two projects as evidence for any particular rumor.
The commercial foundation remains unusually strong. The Witcher 3 has sold more than 65 million copies and the game series as a whole has passed 90 million.
Cyberpunk is becoming a year-round business too
Cyberpunk 2 has no announced release window, but an 184-person development team shows that its production is already scaling. CD PROJEKT RED's North American organization is central to that project.
The franchise is also expanding between games. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is scheduled for Netflix on October 20, 2026, while collaborations, licensing agreements and other products continue to extend Night City beyond Cyberpunk 2077.
CD PROJEKT RED says IP licensing made a significantly larger contribution during the first half of the year. For a company whose major games require long development cycles, that revenue is becoming a useful bridge rather than a side activity.
Profits are rising while development spending expands
The group generated PLN 435 million in H1 revenue, up 23 percent year over year, and PLN 249 million in consolidated net profit, an increase of 37 percent.
Management says it has reached 86 percent of the cumulative profit target attached to the first 2023-2026 tranche of its incentive program. It is considerably less confident about reaching the later 2024-2027 condition under the current release schedule.
That financial context makes the two unnamed games more significant. CD PROJEKT RED is not simply stockpiling concepts. It is trying to maintain several major development tracks while its established games and licensing business finance the gap between blockbuster launches.
For now, the two projects remain exactly what the company called them: unannounced.
