Naruto Live-Action Movie Moves Forward as Sony Joins Lionsgate and Production Targets 2027
Lionsgate's live-action Naruto film has officially been greenlit, with Sony Pictures joining as a financing and international distribution partner. Production is expected to begin in spring 2027 under director Destin Daniel Cretton. The agreement gives a long-developing Hollywood adaptation a clearer path toward filming, although no theatrical release date has been announced.
